EXPLORE THE AREA

Lymington Camping is perfectly placed for you to explore Lymington, Milford on Sea and the New Forest National Park.

Lymington is a pretty Georgian market town in the south of the New Forest with a rich history dating back to the Iron Age. For centuries, Lymingtonians have made their living from the river and the sea – as boatbuilders, fishermen, sailors, salt workers and even smugglers! Today the town is an internationally famous centre of yachting and sailing. Visit the Saturday market that dates back to 1250 and the UK's oldest lido for swimming and inflatable fun.

The New Forest National Park covers 220 square miles and was once the royal hunting ground of William the Conqueror.

It is home to over 7,000 roaming animals including ponies, donkeys, cattle and, during the autumn pannage, pigs too. An area of outstanding natural beauty, the New Forest hosts an extraordinary diversity of plants and animals. Walk from the campsite, cycle, or drive to one of the many free New Forest car parks.
